Orbis Network Proudly Delivers Cutting-Edge Fibre Connectivity Project

We are thrilled to share that over the summer of 2023, Orbis Network had the privilege to collaborate with Gigalight and ITS on a groundbreaking project to deliver multi-campus sites with fibre connectivity boasting speeds of over 360GB per second over just 1 fibre core.

Our involvement in this project extended to internal fibre installs where we meticulously ensured that fire regulations for cable installation were strictly adhered to. This level of attention to safety and compliance is integral to our commitment to delivering not just high-speed connectivity, but also ensuring the integrity and safety of our installations.

Throughout the duration of the project, our dedicated team was engaged in constant project management and communication with all stakeholders involved. This consistent and transparent communication allowed us to address any challenges swiftly and effectively, ensuring a seamless and successful project implementation.

The project design improves its reliability by using diverse fiber routes, connecting server rooms to East and West Nottingham for backup pathways. This setup reduces the risk of problems by creating duplicate connections to a BT telephone exchange and secure data center. This investment shows the dedication to providing constant, trustworthy services and meeting today's connectivity needs.

Despite the size and complexity of the project, we are immensely proud to announce that it was completed within the stipulated time scale. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, expertise, and collaborative spirit of our team and partners.
